Unravelling Isobel

So yesterday I found myself in a small dilemma I was in a book shop and I only had enough to buy two of them. Unfortunately nearly all of the book was amazing but after finally deciding on two I left the shop disappointed I couldn't afford more! MUST SAVE MORE!!!! MUST SAVE MORE!!!  Although after finishing one of the books I am definitely sure I made the right decision.
Unravelling Isobel by Eileen Cook is most definitely not what I expected it to be! It was an amazingly haunting story of Isobel - as the title suggests- a 17 year old girl who is forced to move to an island with her new stepdad and super sexy stepbrother Nathaniel or Nate. From the look of the cover its your typical chick lit book where boy meets girl, trails and tribulations follow. That's what I thought when I saw the cover- I know silly girl never judge book by its cover.

The twist comes when Isobel moves into the only room in the house she really shouldn't. Nate's dead sister Evelyn's room. I should mention that Evelyn and her mother were killed in a freak boating accident. Ghostly messages and many trips to the local library follow. And with the rumour that either her stepfather or stepbrother are possibly murderers. Her life isn't going to be easy.

With her mother and Dick (stepdad) worrying about her mental state Isobel is sent to see Dr.Mike the island's local shrink, who tells her to take control of the aspects of her life she can. Isobel makes it her mission to figure out whether the messages are Dick messing with her or Evelyn speaking from the dead. But that's not all that's going on she has also fallen in love with Nate somehow along the way.

Will she discover who the messages really are from? Will she make it out alive? Will she get Nate?

I seriously suggest that you read Unravelling Isobel to find out!! Out of all the books I have read so far in my short life its this one that has surprised me the most.

Let me know if you have read it need someone to talk to about it!!!

Hi guys

So this blogging stuff is kinda new to me so if I'm terrible I'm sorry. So anyway I'm a big believer in getting to know people first so here's a few facts about me.

I'm 17 (I'll be 18 in January I really can't wait)

I'm from Wales that's the bit that look like the pig's head if you look at a map of the UK. We welsh people love sheep and sing songs and write poetry and eat leeks. I'm joking these are the stereotypes I'm used to. We don't all love sheep there is far to many of them and I'm sick of the sight of them. AND Farms there's waaaaayyyy to many of them if you live in the farming areas, the smell of cow waste follows you everywhere- pleasant right!! We do love to sing the most of us anyway- who doesn't. Also unlike most people who live in Wales I actually speak welsh. Fluently which is annoying because I'm often ask to say something in welsh, the conversation usually goes like this:
"I speak Welsh"
"Oh say something in Welsh"
Like what exactly I don't have a phrase that I can just wack out that sounds amazing.

As my display name may suggest I love books, any size, shape and story. I will read. This blog is mainly intended for me to give reviews on books that maybe you don't have time to read or maybe you only have time to read one and you can't decide. Also I may make some of the post about lifestyle or stuff that's going on in my life. But mainly books.

If you do read this blog please leave me an idea of a book I should read or review. And always remember 'A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads only lives one' x
